MT DIABLO CENTER for the PERFORMING ARTS
THE CHALLENGE
The Mt. Diablo Center is a non-profit performing arts and education center under construction in Danville, California. They recognized an opportunity to transform their Web site into a fundraising tool that would aid in galvanizing the community, but their existing site was disorganized and lacked a consistent design.
THE SOLUTION
I streamlined the navigation to focus attention on the primary call to action-fundraising-by bringing the online contribution module up to the top-level hierarchy, and restructured the content and architecture to improve its clarity.
The visual designers developed a color palette and typography that would express the distinguished message of the Center, and created a layout that was strong, flexible, and consistent. The end result was an elegant showpiece that allowed the Center to communicate with the community and vastly improve their fundraising drive to finish the Center's construction.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES

|
Flowcharts indicate the user's path to areas and resources in the site. It grows out of the discovery phase, and typically begins as a conceptual model, or overview flow, which is then expanded to eventually indicate all pages and interactivity. A wireframe is the skeleton of the page layout. Generally NOT to scale, and frequently scribbled on a napkin or a whiteboard, wireframes are usually internal documents developed with the designers. Functionality may or may not be indicated, depending on the needs of the project. Click on the image to see this project's wireframe. |
