TRANCOS - OUTSOURCED CONTEST MANAGEMENT
THE CHALLENGE
Trancos wanted to restructure their existing corporate Web site into a new sales tool and media kit for their Outsourced Contest Management solution. The site was faceless, and they were looking for a way to capture the excitement of their online contests. Trancos also wanted a new tag line and a secure client area where their customers could track and monitor their games' progress.
THE SOLUTION
I redeveloped and simplified the home page content to help the site's purpose immediately pop out to the user, and reworked the rest of the content to give it a tone that matched their message, stressing game customization to fit the needs of the large corporations that Trancos was targeting. I renamed and revised the navigation to add the client area, reinforce the site's message, and ensure scalability. I collaborated with the team to craft the new tagline, "Winning Business".
The visual designers incorporated sample pieces of actual games into the site's design, streamlined the logo, and reinforced Trancos' engaging message with additional imagery. The end result was a more readable, comprehensive, and cohesive Web site that showcases Trancos' game design and contest management skills.

Flowcharts indicate the user's path to areas and resources in the site. It grows out of the discovery phase, and typically begins as a conceptual model, or overview flow, which is then expanded to eventually indicate all pages and interactivity. A wireframe is the skeleton of the page layout. Generally NOT to scale, and frequently scribbled on a napkin or a whiteboard, wireframes are usually internal documents developed with the designers.
